Senior Network Security Engineer (SC Cleared) - £550/day Inside IR35 - 1-month Contract - Derby (Home Based) - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

We are seeking a talented Senior Network Security Engineer (Active SC Clearance) with expertise in Cisco security appliances and a background in network security architecture. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining robust security solutions to protect our clients' networks from cyber threats.

Your key responsibilities as the Senior Network Security Engineer:

• Design, deploy, and manage Cisco security appliances including Cisco Email Security Appliance (ESA), Cisco Security Management Appliance (SMA), Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), and Firepower Management Center (FMC).
• Experience in both physical and virtual versions of Cisco security appliances.
• Lead migrations and upgrades of security appliances, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
• Familiarity with migrating from physical to virtual environments (desirable).
• Experience in integrating Cisco ESA with other email security appliances (desirable).
• Work collaboratively with other technical resources to integrate security functionality and meet business requirements.
• Operate effectively within secure environments with stringent change controls and processes.

As the right Senior Network Security Engineer, you will have:

• SC Clearance is mandatory.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Cisco security appliances, including ESA, SMA, FTD, and FMC.
• Experience in both physical and virtual deployments of security appliances.
• Demonstrated experience in migrations and upgrades of security appliances or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with integrating security solutions to meet business requirements.
• Certifications such as CCDP, Cisco CCIE, CISSP, and CNSS.
• Willingness to attend the site at Derby once a week.
