Business Analyst - 50k - London (Permanent)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £40k - £50k per annum
 

Business Analyst - 50k + Bonus - London

Fuse are recruiting for a Business Analyst to act as the liaison point between Business Stakeholders, the Internal Development team, third party developers, Operations and training teams providing effective post deployment support to the business. Assisting in the preparation of test scripts, system specifications and Business Cases, and communicating with the relevant teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Business Stakeholders in defining product strategy, objectives and roadmap.
  • Backlog prioritisation to ensure changes are delivered based on the most value to all users.
  • Elicit requirements both individually and in partnership with 3rd party developer; run workshops, face-to-face meetings, shadowing, process modelling.
  • Identify and agree analysis deliverables/format/timeframe for delivery and adhere to agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure project Stakeholders are kept informed of change and are involved in decision making with respect to solutions.
  • Perform analysis using the most appropriate format for the project and project stage.
  • Document processes using the appropriate method.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project life cycle and initial support phase.
  • Manage stakeholders across multiple Departments.
  • Assist in transforming, producing, editing, testing and maintaining Valuation report templates.
  • Provide support as required to end users and ensure up to date training documentation is in place, working with the training team.
  • During the development of new features undertake testing to ensure the requirements and functionality are met. Documenting any bugs found and tracking to closure.
  • Attend scrum stand-ups and sprint retrospectives where necessary and provide feedback to the Developers.
  • Sanity test the system against agreed specifications and iron out ambiguities and provide support to the Quality Assurance team.
  • UAT Support - produce and review UAT scripts, run UAT sessions, input into user guides as necessary.
  • Carry out investigative analysis of new software and technologies when required.
  • Produce process maps using BPMN 2.0 notation in Visio.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements clearly using appropriate format - BRD, FRD, Requirements Catalogue, User stories, DevOps PBIs.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project life cycle and initial support phase.
  • Post deployment, act as liaison and monitor system uptake and provide support to operations team/project sponsor to ensure the systems are being used as specified.
  • Share knowledge of Business Analysis tools and techniques across the IT Business Analyst team.

Personal profile

  • At least 3 years of recent experience performing the Business Analyst role across the full project life cycle.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, building key relationships and being the conduit between the Business and IT.
  • Advanced understanding of Business Analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience of working on Agile projects delivering bespoke systems.
  • Proven track record of delivery on high profile projects.
  • Strong documentation and excellent communications skills.
  • Proactive, self-sets realistic deadlines and actively follows up on both self-set and project actions.
  • A good listener but also asks probing questions to fully understand what's needed.
  • Identifies and mitigates project risks and issues.
  • Comfortable dealing with stakeholders of all levels and external parties and is able to influence stakeholders when appropriate.
  • Willing to work when necessary to drive projects forward and complete projects on schedule.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure.
  • A logical thinker who searches for new solutions to problems or the reuse of other solutions where necessary, understanding the difference and when discretion is required.
  • A natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance.
  • Able to assess commercial impact of project decisions, from a position of detailed understanding of corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Reliable, tolerant, and determined.
  • Well-presented and business like.
  • Works well with others and collaborates across teams building long lasting relationships.
  • Has a good understanding of system data structures and reference data.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A working background in ERP projects would be beneficial eg CRM and HR
