This elite Prop Trading firm seeks a Software Developer/Programmer (2 headcount) with a 1st Class Degree in ComSci coupled with 2-5 years C++ application development experience (Financial Markets experience in not required) post graduation, for this X-Asset HFT Trading team.

Based on the trading desk, you will be responsible for design and build of new, and optimizing of existing functionality. This is a terrific opportunity for gifted Engineers to work across the full stack from Execution layer, Market Data, ULL Market Connectivity, Order Book and more. You will be mentored by seasoned industry experts Software Development, Application Architecture, Quant and Trading talent within this collaborative high-profile team.

Profile of candidates desired by the Head of Market Making -

• 1st class academics in ComSci/Software Engineering, with other STEM (Physics and Math) considered
• 2-5 years Maximum industry experience post academia
• Passion and excellent C++ programming skills from V14 onwards, including Classes, STL, Templates (Bespoke), Multithreading and Concurrency.
• Understanding of Linux fundamentals
• Tenacious, personable, apolitical. This is a meritocratic structure therefore not suited to those seeking leadership, requires execution focused and collegiate (collaborative ethos, NOT internally competitive) mindset, with a lust for mastery of your craft (someone abreast of developments by WG21 committee)

• Familiarity with HackerRank, LeetCode, et al, is beneficial for the interview process, albeit this is very much a blended approach (Live Coding, 'White Board' work, Verbal technical discussion) rather than low-touch
