Data Specialist - Unstructured Data - Financial ServicesWe are supporting an organisation within Financial Services.This is 12 months initially.It is hybrid 40% per cent each Month in the London Stratford office.This is up to £600 PAYE PER DAY - it is direct payroll, so the employer's NI is contributed by the client. We are seeking those with Unstructured Data experience and Financial Services exposure.What does this job involve?As a Data Acquisition Specialist, you will use various technical solutions such as API functionalities to source accurate and reliable data.
-As a Data Acquisition Specialist, you will present, disseminate, and explain your work to a diverse group of stakeholders via presentations, reports, and workshops.
-As a Data Acquisition Specialist, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to understand data requirements and ensure accuracy in model selection for analysis.
-As a Data Acquisition Specialist, you will be involved in mentoring junior staff by providing guidance throughout data related projects.

Minimum, Essential & Desirable skillsMinimum skills- Strong interest and understanding of Consumer Duty.
- Practical experience in implementing APIs to gather data.
- Ability to think through problems creatively and independently.
Essential- Hands on experience with programming languages including Python or RStudio.
- Practical experience working closely with diverse stakeholders to identify business problems and use data to propose solutions for effective decision making.
- Excellent organisational skills, delivering multiple tasks under pressure.
Desirable- Experience applying data science techniques, including machine learning, in the Financial Services industry.
- Experience building solutions using unstructured data.
- Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field.
- Familiarity with Data Visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
- Experienced in a variety of Data Science techniques. It would be beneficial to have
- Knowledge of methods such as Natural Language Processing, Network Analytics, Predictive Modelling.
