Azure data platform technologies, including Data Lake Gen 2, Synapse, Analysis Services, and Power BI.
Working in a leading UK and global business you will be a key part of the team and take the lead in supporting the Strategic Data Manager to enrich, implement and maintain a highly effective Business Intelligence technical service, at the forefront of the technical development of cloud data platforms, offering near Real Time process reporting solutions.
Your Profile:
- Extensive experience with Azure data platform technologies, ideally including Data Lake Gen 2, Synapse, Analysis Services, and Power BI.
- Proven skills with Azure Data Factory & Databricks/Apache/Sparx, along with extensive SQL knowledge (Microsoft SQL Server 2005+) and SSIS experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft DevOps, metadata management, data quality, and Data Mesh principles.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment, engaging with stakeholders at all levels in the business.
- Determined, self-starter comfortable working within a structured framework.
- Passionate about new technologies and open to innovative ideas.
- A skilled communicator, able to convey ideas effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Empathetic and capable of envisioning challenges faced by individuals or customers needing BI support.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
- Analytic skills related to working with structured datasets.
Within the role you will be able to explore and implement solutions for optimizing the performance of the strategic data platform pipelines. Embracing development design principles to ensure excellence whilst developing and scaling cloud data platforms using CI/CD pipelines and Terraform. Collaborating with the analytics and insights team to build solutions that combine internal insights, customer outcomes, and external data feeds, unlocking the potential of big data and machine learning algorithms.
