Senior Technical Lead (Permanent)

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Country: UK Rate: £60k - £67k per annum
 

Harvey Nash are delighted to have partnered with one of our long standing clients who are currently transforming and modernising their IT Services.

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team as a Senior Technical Lead. In this role, you will lead a development team, drive innovation, and implement modern development practices in alignment with their Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Drive the adoption of modern development practices and Agile methodologies, ensuring efficient delivery of projects.
  • Utilize your expertise across 2 to 3 relevant technologies such as Java, Python, Oracle, AWS (Cloud first strategy)
  • Work in Scrum/Sprint, overseeing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from inception to delivery.
  • Mentor team members, providing guidance and support in technical and professional development.

Qualifications: Must Have:

  • Proven experience in a senior tech role, with the ability to lead and manage a development team.
  • Strong knowledge across 2 to 3 relevant technologies, including Java, Oracle, AWS, and Python.
  • Experience working in Scrum/Sprint and implementing Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of database management and data management regulations.
  • Experience in leading or working with database management teams.
  • Experience of rapid development/low code technologies.
