Job Purpose

Digital Service Delivery is a team which is responsible for digital commerce and digital marketing solutions and services across all segments and markets. This position is to supplement the team by supporting the operations of the digital solutions and their continuous improvements. The digital solutions are directly tied to the growth of Mars by supporting the digital business models and related business processes where digital is enable content and marketing as well as direct to consumer and B2B commerce.

There are multiple capabilities launched or to be launched in Asia/Europe/United States in driving category with customers, reaching more consumers and innovation for future. eg DAM, Digital PIM, eRetail Analytics, CRM, WCMS and eCommerce etc. There is need to have holistic ongoing service operation model and governance in Asia/Europe/United States to ensure the committed SLA for all the capabilities that have gone live in the region in terms of incidents management, change management and problem solving etc.

This role will be an individual contributor to support existing solutions and their operation for digital business. This role will also help in supporting all of Mars web properties and their operations and security. Process innovation, establishment, rollout and measurement of service will also be part of the job in this Servicing role. This role reports to the Digital Service Delivery Lead.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be a key contributor to build, manage and deploy the ongoing service model for existing solutions and also manage CRM and consumer analytics capabilities within the Digital environment.

The role will be in regular contact, at a global level, with a wide range of business stakeholders in the Marketing/Sales and eCommerce areas, Business Units managers (Mars Chocolate, Wrigley, Mars Petcare, Food, Mars Drinks ), external agencies and suppliers during the different projects and the continuous improvements phases.

He/She will act as a functional analyst and service operation manager who will design and implement IT support model and maintain systems supporting these models.

He/She will be involved in business process definition in an evolving and pioneering business environment, acting as a major change enabler and digital glue between the different units.

He/She will also be able to assist in innovation by identifying and piloting advanced features and technologies that will support our Digital service as part of critical change management process.

He/She will be closely working in collaboration with deployment associates of the team and work with our subcontracted onshore and offshore managed services resources.

In the day to day capabilities management, he/she will be working with third party providers to manage the relationship and bring improvements.

He/She will be dealing with a broad range of Mars IS functional and technical teams across all divisions

Context & Scope

In this role, below are some of the key responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple solutions operation in parallel.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Digital business area with business strategy clarity, solution architecture and application for existing capabilities.
  • Challenge business thinking on ways of working to drive increased benefits across scaled operation service
  • Be an innovation enabler, gathering inputs and ideas from the external marketplace to improve the Digital Business services offer and build new services.
  • Develop a thorough functional and technical understanding of our key Digital technologies.
  • Propose suitable, cost efficient operation model that exceed our clients' expectations.
  • Lead, design, develop and execute service operation transition process for project handing over stage.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the operation model
  • Conduct regular user sensing to understand customer's voice.
  • Ensure MARS IS quality standards are applied to all deliverables.
  • Actively share knowledge and best practice to peers and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with external solution operation resources including onshore and off-shore support and development teams.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with third party vendors.
